Jakob Trutsch was a beloved son, fiancé, and friend. He was only 19 years old, and his family confirmed his tragic death after he was reported missing days prior.

The son of Anna Weller and Bob Weller, Jakob was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him.

Jakob’s recent engagement to his beloved, Caiah Devries, on May 8, 2025, marked a joyous beginning to a future filled with promise.

However, it was heartbreakingly cut short.

His disappearance on the evening of September 7 near Byron Road and 40th Avenue united a community in hope and a desperate search.

He was a young man who stood at an impressive 6 feet and 5 inches tall. He was wearing a fluorescent yellow hoodie and jeans at the time of his disappearance.
