Pete Carroll and his wife, Glena Goranson, who have been significant pillars in his life, got married in 1976 and have been together ever since.

Born on September 15, 1951, in San Francisco, California, Pete Carroll has made a huge impact on American football.

With a career spanning both college and professional levels, he has achieved remarkable milestones.

Carroll is celebrated for leading the Seattle Seahawks to their first Super Bowl victory in 2014 and guiding the University of Southern California (USC) to multiple national championships during his tenure there.

From College Sweethearts to Lifelong Partners, Pete Carroll’s Wife, Glena, Has Supported Him Through His Career Highs and Lows!

Beyond the football field, Pete’s personal life stands out as equally inspiring.

While attending the University of the Pacific, he met Glena Goranson, a talented volleyball player.

Their bond quickly grew stronger, and they married in 1976.

Since then, Glena has been a steadfast partner since then, offering tireless support through jubilant moments and challenging times.

Pete often describes her as “the angel in my life,” a title that reflects her irreplaceable role in his journey.

Born in 1955 and raised in California, Glena shared Pete’s passion for sports during her college years, excelling in volleyball.

Although she did not pursue a professional athletic career, her love for sports profoundly influenced her approach to raising their children.

Her background as a collegiate athlete contributed to a household deeply rooted in the values of discipline and teamwork.

But interestingly, before Glena, Carroll was briefly married to Wendy Pearl from 1973 to 1975.

That marriage didn’t last long but was an important chapter before he reached his career peak.

The Carroll Kids Have Embraced Their Parents’ Zeal For Sports!

With Glena, Carroll built a close family and raised three kids, Brennan, Jaime, and Nathan, influenced by their parents’ values.

Brennan, the offensive coordinator for the Arizona Wildcats, credits his collegiate football journey at Delaware and Pitt as stepping stones for his current role.

Jaime, a former volleyball player at USC, now contributes as a content developer for Amplify Voice.

Meanwhile, Nathan has followed his father’s footsteps into coaching, serving as a senior offensive assistant with the Seahawks.

Throughout the years, Glena has been the steady anchor of their family.

Even as Pete managed the intense demands of his coaching career, she ensured their home remained a sanctuary of stability and love.

During a heartfelt press conference on January 10, 2024, Pete announced his transition from head coach to an executive role with the Seahawks. He highlighted Glena’s pivotal role in his life.

In this heartfelt moment, Pete reflected on Glena’s significance throughout their journey together.

He expressed,

“Nobody would ever understand how significant [she is……..],”

He noted that she had been with him through every challenge and triumph, reinforcing her importance to his life.

Moreover, Pete shared anecdotes about their life, including how Glena helped out during the early days of his coaching career by babysitting for Monte Kiffin’s son while they were at the University of Arkansas.

This support exemplifies her dedication not only to Pete but also to the broader football community.
