In 2005, he founded The Prostate Centre in London, where he used advanced robotic surgery (the da Vinci robot) to perform less invasive operations.
Roger also served as a professor of urology at St George’s Hospital, London, and was president of the Royal Society of Medicine from 2020 to 2024.
He founded two medical journals, “Prostate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases” and “Trends in Urology and Men’s Health,” and wrote over 350 research papers and 68 books.
