Since 2015, Napolitano had been associated with Fox News, initially joining as a writer for the Sirius XM channel, Fox News Headlines 24/7.

His swift progression led him to become a sports reporter for the same channel.

Although he briefly departed as a full-time employee in 2022, he rejoined the network in November of that year, coinciding with Fox News’ intensified efforts to expand its audio content endeavors.

During his tenure, Napolitano served as both an anchor and reporter, crafting and producing segments across all Fox News audio platforms.

Additionally, he provided sports-centric coverage for the Fox Business Network’s “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” weekday series, hosted by Neil Cavuto.

Furthermore, Napolitano lent his voice to the Fox News Edge service, which delivers news coverage and content packages to Fox affiliate stations nationwide.

Ricky Whitcomb, Napolitano’s husband, confirmed his demise through statements on X.

In a memo circulated to Fox News staff on December 24, Scott expressed,

“Matt did everything from anchoring to writing and producing for our audio platforms and loved being able to work in the journalism field that he trained for his entire life.”
