His father makes a monthly salary of ten thousand Indian Currency. He, along with his nine-member family, resided in a tin-house with two rooms as per sources. It was like a storage compound provided by the gas distribution company.

From a very young age, Rinku was not that dedicated to his studies. The cricketer clearly stated that he did not feel like studying.

However, his mother was after him soliciting him for studies. And his father used to scold him and restrict him from playing cricket. But it seems like God had planned something different for him.

Beginning of a dream and struggle

Even though hockey is said to be India’s national sport, every house is filled with family gatherings, gossip, and some delicious foodstuff when it comes to cricket.

In like manner, even Rinku had the burning fire inside him for cricket since the very beginning.

Singh was just thirteen when he decided to go for cricket seriously. But this was not easy; looking at his family’s financial condition, he was asked to get a job rather than follow his passion.

It was almost a decade ago that Rinku started his playing career. He played a match for his school DPS under the DPS owner’s guideline and won the man of the series. To top it off, he received a bike as a prize.

Nonetheless, this moment completely changed his parent’s perspective and made them see the scope of cricket.

Following that, Rinku was selected in UP’s under-16 team and later got entrance to the under-19 and under-23 team. And very soon, his name made rounds as the aggressive batsman and hard-hitter.
