Darian David Atwood of Zanesville tragically passed away on Monday.
Atwood was born on January 6, 2010, in Zanesville to Jonathan C. Atwood and Haylee A. Nixon.
He was a freshman at River View High School, where he excelled as an All-Star in sports, including baseball, soccer, and wrestling.
Atwood wore jersey number 21 and competed as a defender, midfielder, and forward.
He appeared in 14 games during the 2025-26 season.
Darian and his teammates advanced through several matchups in the postseason bracket, showcasing strong defensive organization and occasional high-scoring performances, including a notable 13-0 victory early in the season.

WARSAW- Darian David Atwood, 16, affectionately known to some as “Double D”, & “Tub Tub”, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026.
MaKayla Lockard of Coshocton, Ohio, took to the comment section and wrote,
Lord I come to you today, I ask you wrap the Atwood family and friends and all those affected in your loving arms. They say you are always near the brokenhearted I ask that you bring them peace and comfort as they navigate the grief of such a terrible loss. I ask that you cover them in the blood of Jesus Christ and provide them with everything that they may need during such a devastating time In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen .

if you weren’t close with my brother and didn’t know him you have no right to post anything related to this you didn’t know him you don’t actually care you just want to seem thoughtful well let me say me and my family don’t want ur pity if you truly knew darian and who he was a person you all will respect our families wishes and like i said do not reach out to our family or post anything about my little brother unless you knew him personally thank you!

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Fischer Funeral Home, 412 E. Main St., Warsaw, OH 43844, with Pastors Bill & Kyle Dunfee officiating.
Burial will follow in Dutch Run Cemetery near Darian’s home. Visitation is Friday evening, April 24th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
