Travis Robert Keihn passed away on September 1, 2025, at the age of 46, after a long battle with kidney disease at Memorial Hospital in Springfield.
Originally from Riverton, Illinois, Travis reportedly fought kidney disease for 27 years with incredible strength before passing away.
Travis Robert Keihn is survived by his two daughters, Kyleigh Rae Keihn of Williamsville and Taylor Keihn of Mason.
So far, none of his daughters has broken their silence following his passing.
He was divorced from his ex-wife, Stephanie Tuttle, the mother of his children; however, details surrounding their separation remain unknown.
Travis’s elder daughter, Kyleigh, is a 2022 graduate of Illini Central High School. She studied a dental assisting program at Midwest Technical Institute.
His younger daughter, Taylor, attends Illini Central High School and is involved in several activities at ICHS.
Taylor is actively involved in softball, volleyball, basketball, poms, student council, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta.
Likewise, she is also an umpire and referee for Little League sports.
In May 2025, Taylor Keihn earned the recognition as the April Student of the Month Award.
Besides his daughters, Travis also leaves behind his brother, TJ Ross, his great-uncle, Rusty Ballard, his wife, Brenda, and his extended family members who loved him dearly.
Travis was preceded in death by his great-grandma B, grandparents, Bobby and Thelma Keihn, and his beloved dog Leo.
Born on January 11, 1979, in Lincoln, Travis graduated from Riverton High School in 1997. He also attended Lincolnland Community College.
He proudly served in the United States Army, and after his military service, he worked as a correctional officer.
Travis had a passion for coaching, fishing, watching sports, and racing.
He also loved eating pizza, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his daughters, Taylor and Kyleigh.
Following his wishes, Travis Robert Keihn’s body was cremated.
A memorial visitation to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City.
