Diane Gronkowski Walters was born to her parents on September 25, 1952, in the United States. The exact place of her birth is unknown.

However, as a kid, she grew up with her five siblings in Buffalo, New York, where she attended Catholic Girls’ School. Apart from being brilliant in her studies, she also played basketball.

Diane did not want to pursue her athletic passion further, as girls’ sports were limited then. Following her graduation, it is unclear whether she joined the University.

Speaking more of her family, both her parents are alive and well. They live near Diane’s Fort Myers, Florida residence in Venice, Florida.

Diane Gronkowski was married to Rob’s dad, Gordon Gronkowski, for many years. After spending many years together and raising their kids, the two divorced in 2008.

Gordon, also called Gordy, was of Polish descent and lived in Buffalo, New York. Since Diane also spent her childhood in Buffalo, they might have known each other from the start. 

Gordy joined Syracuse University in New York after graduating from West Seneca West Senior High School. He was an excellent football player in his youth and was part of his high school and college teams.

The senior Gronkowski has been running a fitness Company named G&G Fitness Equipment in Buffalo. Established in 1990, the Company has grown into a productive fitness business following his kids’ athletic successes.

Presently, Diane and Gordy are separated and no longer live together. Diane is married to a man named Mike Walters but continues to have good relationships with all her sons.

Children 

Diane and Gordy Sr.’s eldest son, Gordie Jr., was born on June 26, 1983, in Buffalo, New York. Starting his sports career as a football, baseball, and hockey player, he eventually opted to become a professional baseball player.

Following his successful MLB draft in 2006, he played in minor leagues for nearly six years before retiring untimely because of injuries. The former athlete manages Gronk Fitness in Boston, a family business his dad started in the nineties.

Their second son, Daniel “Dan” Gronkowski, was born on January 21, 1985, in Amherst, New York. Like other younger Gronk brothers, he played in the NFL for nearly four years before retiring in 2012.

Their third son, Chris, was born almost two years after Dan remained undrafted in the 2010 NFL draft but later played for four teams before his retirement in 2013. He, too, is involved in his family’s fitness business and is involved in several other business ventures.

Rob Gronkowski, the most famous and successful of the Gronk brothers, is Diane and Gordy’s second youngest son. The youngest one, Glenn, was born to them in 1993 in Buffalo, New York.

Currently, all the Gronk brothers have retired from their active playing careers.

Robert James Gronkowski, popular as Rob Gronkowski, is a former American NFL player. The football tight end, whom people called Gronk, appeared in eleven seasons of the league and played for just two teams throughout his league career.

The multi-talented athlete played various sports, including football, baseball, basketball, hockey, etc., as a high schooler. Despite that, his academic results were outstanding.

After graduating high school from Woodland Hills, he attended the University of Arizona in Tucson for further studies. His major subject was Business Studies, but he left college without a degree.

Even though Rob missed his entire junior season due to injuries in 2009, the New England Patriots chose him in the second round of the 2010 NFL draft. He remained with the club until 2018 and won three Super Bowls.

In 2019, he announced his retirement, citing his mental health problems via Instagram. However, he later joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won another Super Bowl in the 2020 season.

Rob eventually left the Bucs after the 2021 season and announced his retirement. He remains one of the best football tight ends of all time, with many records, individual honors, and awards in his name.
