Chandler Martin Leonard, an athlete from Rolla High School, has sadly passed away on Tuesday.
He was born on May 11, 2010, in Minot, MD, to his parents, William and Neon Leonard.
Leonard was an athlete at Rolla High School, participating in football and wrestling.
He always wanted to play with his younger siblings around the house.

The sources confirmed that Rolla High School wrestler and football player, Chandler Martin Leonard, 15, left the world on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at SMP-ST. Kater Hospital, Rolla, MD.

Chandler Martin Leonard, age 15, of Rolla, ND passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at SMP-St. Kateri Hospital, Rolla, ND. Chandler Martin Leonard was born on May 11, 2010 in Minot, ND. Chandler loved spending time with his family, his siblings, especially joking with his brothers and cuddling with Liam. He was always willing to play with is younger siblings around the house. Chandler was an athlete at Rolla High School, participating in football and wrestling. He was loved dearly by his family members and many friends. Chandler will be forever missed.

I have been through a lot in my life but nothing will ever compare to having to say goodbye to my son. As everyone knows I took in my brothers back in 2021 and I have loved them as my own. Chandler was not only my son, he was my best friend, when he first got placed with me and ever since than were have been like two peas in a pod. Everyday I was grateful I got to have them in my life again. When we had liam, he became chandler’s best friend. I know liam will miss his best friend/ cuddle buddy dearly. He was always willing to help me with his brother and sisters because that the kind of person chandler was. We made it official and adopted the boys on October 23rd. He became my son (legally) forever. Nothing hurts more than knowing you weren’t able to help your son with his inner thoughts that convinced him that he was good enough for this life. I had so much to still teach you, and so much love to still show you. I would give up everything in this life to have you here with me. Just know you were good enough and loved by everyone that ever met you. The world was brighter with you in it. I hope you have found the peace you were seeking. You’ll always be in my heart my sweet Chandler Martin Leonard 🩵🩵 Forever 15 you will be.

Moreover, Neon has organized the fundraising campaign on GoFundMe as the family is facing a financial crisis for the funeral. She wrote,
On December 23rd, our family experienced a house fire that caused smoke and water damage to all our personal belongings and our house. We are still in the middle of construction and trying to rebuild when we were hit with the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Chandler. We are very limited on money after losing everything in the fire, and now we are facing funeral expenses we never could have prepared for. I ask right now that you pray for my family and, if you are able, support us as we try to honor Chandler’s memory and rebuild our lives. Any help you can give will mean the world to us.

On January 4, 2026, Neon thanked everyone for the donations and announced that Chandler’s funeral would be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
The visitation has been scheduled from noon to 2 p.m., with services starting at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian church.
