Despite all these obstacles, Powell persevered in pursuing his football dreams.

He even transitioned from the Saints practice squad to the Chicago Bears practice squad before eventually signing with the Seattle Seahawks practice squad.

However, his injuries caused further complications for Powell during his brief professional football experience with AAF Orlando Apollos.

The same year, the team placed him on the waived/injured list on January 9, 2019.

Therefore, he brought his journey as a football player to a complete stop after 2019.
