Former Florida Linebacker Ronald Powell’s sudden death has shocked NFL fans and supporters.
On Monday, one of Ronald’s former teammates announced the sad news of the football player’s passing on his social media.
Powell, the former football player, was only 32 years old and was a few months away from his 33rd birthday.

Ronald Powell was born on May 14, 1991, in Riverside, California, United States. He attended Rancho Verde High School, playing as a defensive end, linebacker, and tight end.
During high school recruitment, Powell was one of the most sought-after players in the country.
Later, coming out of high school, he accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida.
As a freshman in 2010, he played 13 games and made one start. He became a regular starter for the Gators in his sophomore year, playing and starting in 12 games.
Moreover, throughout his football career, he had stints with the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks, and Orlando Apollos.

Sadly, Powell had passed away on January 15, 2024. His former teammate, Junior Galette, announced the news of his passing.
Galette and Powell were teammates together during the 2014 season with the New Orleans Saints. Both of them were part of the outside linebacker’s room.

Moreover, Galette wrote in X, “I Love You Forever till we meet again, an EXCELLENT FATHER, Respected Brother, and a Loving Son. I am saddened to share with the rest of the world that Ronald Powell Transitioned Earlier today. REST IN POWER, RONALD POWELL.”
However, relevant parties have not released additional information concerning his death.
Likewise, Powell’s family, Florida, or any NFL teams the linebacker played for have not issued an official release.
