RWU Student-Cheerleader Paige Moreau, 22, Passes Away, Survived By Her Parents Eric And Laura Moreau, And Two Sisters

Roger Williams University Hawks cheerleader Paige Moreau’s father, Eric Moreau, studied at the Community College of Rhode Island.

A Roger Williams University student, Paige Moreau, died on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 22, after suffering a medical emergency.

According to an email provided by RWU, junior Paige was studying abroad in Florence, Italy, when the medical emergency happened. In the email, they added,

“University officials have communicated with Paige’s family to share our condolences and offer our support,” “The Moreau family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Florence program for their exceptional care and compassion from the very first call.” “The family acknowledged that every person went above and beyond to assist them, and they recognized the extraordinary efforts to save Paige,”

A gathering will occur on Monday, April 28, 2025, for students to come together and process at the Student Development building’s lounge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Shannon Albuquerque took to her official Facebook handle to mourn the tragic death of Paige. She wrote,

I have always said that cheerleading is about the people you meet and the friendships that are made along the way. Today I am truly heartbroken. Paige was such an amazinging young woman with an infectous personality and smile. Thank you for always being the “Big Paige” to my “Little Paige”.

Paige was actively involved in the RWU campus community, and made an lasting impact as an Architecture student.

While at Roger Williams, she also received experience through an internship at Bisbano+Associates Inc., where she developed her skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Photoshop.

She also served as a resident assistant during the 2023-2024 academic year and took a leadership role as Willow Hall’s head resident assistant in Fall 2024.

Paige Moreau Leaves Behind Her Parents And Two Sisters

Paige Moreau, born in 2002, was raised by her father, Eric, and her mother, Laura Moreau, in Lincoln, Rhode Island. They have supported her since childhood in achieving her dreams.

She grew up with her two sisters, Riley and Reese Moreau. Reese will receive her Bachelor’s degree from Endicott College in 2028.

According to Eric’s Facebook handle, he is originally from Manville, New Jersey, and studied at the Community College of Rhode Island.

Eric is actively involved in fundraising campaigns. On April 6, 2020, he donated to Kobe’s fundraising campaign for Rhode Island Hospital.

He served as a firefighter for the Manville Lincoln Fire Department and the West Warwick Fire Department. Recently, in April 2025, Eric Moreau was promoted to Captain.

West Warwick Firefighters took to their official Facebook handle and congratulated Eric. They wrote,

On the other hand, Paige’s mother, Laura, is a Neonatal nurse practitioner at Boston Med Flight.

Before joining Boston Medflight in 2009, she worked in the emergency room and on the critical care ambulance for AMR at Rhode Island Hospital.

She has completed her Bachelor’s degree in nursing and received her Neonatal Nurse Practitioner license at Stony Brook University in New York.

At Boston Medflight, she earned her NRP teaching credentials and spent five years precepting new nurses and paramedic crew members.

Currently, they are mourning the tragic loss of their daughter, Paige Moreau.

Close friends and relatives have offered their heartfelt condolences to Paige’s family and urged them to stay strong in this heartbreaking moment.
