As the 74th overall pick of the 2011 NFL draft, Mallett debuted in the NFL with the New England Patriots. But his significant contract signing came with the Baltimore Ravens.

He attended Texas High School and was ranked as the No. 2 quarterback and No. 4 overall player in the nation by Rivals.com.

Later, he committed to play for the Michigan Wolverines, but after a season, he got transferred to the University of Arkansas.

On January 6, 2011, Mallett declared his name for the NFL draft, forgoing his final year of college eligibility.

On July 29, 2011, the now-late football player signed a contract worth $2.94 million for four years with the New England Patriots.

After three seasons with the Patriots, he was traded to the Houston Texans. And a year later, he inked a 2-year/$7 million, his largest contract with any team.

Moreover, he inked two other significant contracts with the Ravens; 2-year/$1.63 million on December 15, 2015, and 1-year/$2 million on March 9, 2017.

Ryan Mallett was born to his father, Jim, and his mother, Debbie. His father, Jim, was a high school teacher and football coach, while his mother worked as a teacher.

Unfortunately, his father passed away in 2019.

Ryan grew up with an older sister, Lauren. The Mallett family moved to Texarkana, Texas, when he was four.

When he was 7, he became friends with Will Middlebrooks after they met at a football camp.

Mallet also had a girlfriend, Madison Carter.

The late quarterback’s girlfriend, Carter, is a native of Crossett, Arkansas. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas in May 2018.

Currently, she is a medical student at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University.

He kept his relationship status private until very recently.

On June 19, 2023, Mallett went public with his relationship with Madison. He shared a photo with his girlfriend with the caption, “Appreciation post for my DR/driver/nurse Madison Carter.”

A couple of weeks after they celebrated their relationship on social media, a tragedy occurred. Reportedly, he was vacationing in Florida with his girlfriend, Madison.

On June 27, 2023, Ryan Mallet was found drowning at a beach and was transported to a hospital.

However, on his arrival at the hospital, he was pronounced dead. Following the news of his demise, all of the NFL fraternity extended their heartfelt condolences to the grieving family.
