Ryan Wright girlfriend, Ashley Franza, said yes to the proposal earlier this year in March. Ashley and Ryan are high school sweethearts and former California residents.
After attending the same high school, Ashley and the Vikings’ safety, Ryan had to maintain a long-distance relationship for a few years. And the young couple was certainly able to do so.
The football couple took to their Instagram to share a few photos from their special day but is yet to confirm when and where their wedding ceremony will be held.
An undrafted player in the 2022 NFL Draft, Ryan Wright has become a fan favorite. He had a solid debut season with the Vikings and beat out Jordan Berry for the starting position.

The Minnesota Vikings’ safety, Ryan Wright, proposed to his longtime partner, Ashley Franza, earlier this year in March.
Ryan had planned the surprise proposal during their trip to Mauii, Hawaii. He shared a series of pictures on his Instagram with the caption, She said yes!!.”
The post also included the moment when Ryan went down on one knee as he proposed to his girlfriend. During the proposal, the couple was enjoying a boat ride and later celebrated by drinking wine on board, and Ashley even showed her beautiful engagement ring in a few of the photos.
Ashley and Ryan might have first crossed paths during their time at California High School. The high school sweethearts didn’t let the distance come between them while they were off to college.
Ryan joined Tulane University, and Ashley joined the University of Northern Colorado. The first few photographs of the couple date back to 2016, while in high school.
Ashley and Ryan have shared snaps from their homecoming event on their handle, with Ryan even sharing a picture of how he asked his girlfriend out for prom.
With Ashley being a goalkeeper for the soccer team, Ryan, on a white chart paper, wrote “Hey Keep It Would Be My Goal To Take You To Prom,” replacing the O’s with a soccer ball.
Since 2016, the couple has shared several romantic posts for each other, and now, they are finally uniting for life.

Like her boyfriend and now future husband, Ashley Franza used to be a collegiate athlete. Standing at 5’7, Ashley played soccer and was a goalkeeper.
Ashley’s playing career while at California High School was an impressive one. She was named North Coast Section Scholar Athlete for four years, and in 2018, Ashley became part of the Second Team All-East Bay Athletic League.
In 2017 and 2018, Ashley and her team earned semifinal spots in the NCS Division. After joining the University of North Colorado, Ashley played three seasons and didn’t play in her senior year.
She played 19 games and made 60 saves. She recorded two shutouts and became part of the Academic All-Big Sky team. In the next two seasons, Ashley played fewer games as she began focusing her energy on her nursing degree.
On May 9, 2022, Ashley shared a series of images as she graduated from the University of North Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
After the Vikings drafted Derek, Ashley moved with him to Minnesota. Recently, she shared pictures of her friends meeting her in Minneapolis, where she is likely to stay until Derek moves to another NFL team.
