MMA artist Josh Hersey, a beloved Global Fighting League (GFL) star, passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 44, in Salisbury, Massachusetts

Born on August 23, 1980, in Salisbury, Massachusetts, Josh Hersey left behind his two beloved sons and partner Michelle Glavin. However, the prime reason behind his passing remains unknown.

Josh Hersey’s wake is set for February 22, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Twomey Funeral Home in Amesbury.

His elder son, Josh Hersey, is a multisport athlete. He is a committed baseball and ice hockey player at the Triton Regional High School.

He played for the Triton Regional High School Men’s Varsity Hockey team during the 2022-2023 season.

The late MMA artist Josh’s love for his kids was evident in his social media. Josh would barely share anything about him; instead, he celebrated his sons’ achievements, both big and small.

On December 3, 2024, Josh updated his Facebook profile picture to one featuring his partner Michelle and their son.

Almost all of his photos on Facebook are of his kids; hence, it was crystal clear that being a father was one of the most important roles in his life and his family was central to everything he did.

It was evident that Josh’s sons were inspired by their father’s profession, often playing MMA with gloves when they were young.
