Trent Williams and his wife, Sondra, are grieving the heartwrenching loss of their stillborn son, their second tragedy in this pregnancy after the earlier loss of his twin.
Trent Williams and Sondra Williams first crossed paths in college in 2008, and that’s when their love story started.
Their bond grew stronger over the years, and they eventually walked down the aisle on January 7, 2015. They have been married for 10 years.
Trent and Sondra built a beautiful, tight-knit family of five members, welcoming three daughters: Micah, MaKayla, and Madison.
The offensive tackle is a proud girl dad who occasionally acknowledges how blessed he is to have three little girls.
On one of his girls’ birthdays, he shared her picture, writing: “Everybody wishes my youngest mini-me a happy 1st birthday.“
In 2021, he shared a wholesome picture with his three daughters while they were having the time of their lives at Solaz, A Luxury Collection Resort in Los Cabos.
Sondra announced her pregnancy via Instagram in June 2024, showing her beautiful baby bump.
They were about to add blue to the 4th chamber of their pink heart with the arrival of their child; however, life took a bad turn after the loss of their stillborn son in October 2024.
Trent Williams and Sondra’s Stillborn Son, Trenton O’Brien Williams Jr., Was Diagnosed With Trisomy 13, a Rare Genetic Disorder!
Sondra took to her Instagram to announce the heartbreaking loss of their son, Trenton O’Brien Williams Jr., who was stillborn at 35 weeks, on October 24, 2024.
Sondra shared a montage of her pregnancy journey and penned lengthy, raw, and unfiltered feelings, offering a glimpse into her pain, which reads:
My Forever Angel, Trenton O’Brien Williams Jr. 💙
💔It’s been extremely hard trying to process the saddest Hello and Goodbye that I’ve ever had to endure.
Sondra Williams
I welcomed your lifeless 4lb 8oz 18.5 in long little body at 11:38 pm, she added in the caption.
She also revealed that her daughter, Madison, played a significant role in coping with the tragic loss. Sondra wrote:
In silence, when my mind drifts and I become overwhelmed with grief, your sister(Madison) breaks the silence asking” Are you okay, Mommy?” With a smile, I assure her I’m okay and I’m just thinking of you, TJ!
In nearly no time, the post was showered with overwhelming love and support, with some sharing similar personal experiences.
Some gave words of compassion and supportive expressions of shared grief, which read,
When one momma mourns we all mourn.
May your sweet angel rest in heavenly peace with our Lord.
Later, in the comment, grounded by nothing but gratitude from her family and friends’ immense support and love, Sondra wrote, “Thank you all for your prayers and words of encouragement.“
Not to forget, this is the second heartbreak in a row they’ve experienced in their parenthood journey.
The couple had already endured the loss of Trenton’s twin earlier in the pregnancy, and Trenton was diagnosed with Trisomy 13, a rare genetic disorder.
As much as I tried to prepare myself for our meeting, I wasn’t prepared nor would I ever be. After losing your twin early in the pregnancy, I prayed and hoped that your diagnosis of Trisomy 13 wasn’t true and wouldn’t be the fate of my long awaited beautiful Son-shine.
