A young Cross-Country & Track and Field athlete at Santa Margarita Catholic High School, Carter Bradford, passed away in an accident on December 7, 2025.
However, the intricate details surrounding his untimely demise remain unknown.
Carter Bradford is survived by his parents and brother, Nicholas Bradford, a former Track and Field athlete at Santa Margarita Catholic High School.
Nicholas went to Santa Margarita Catholic High School and graduated in June 2023. He was an outstanding student, making the First Honors list all eight semesters.
On the track, he was a jumper (triple jump was his best event, hit 39-8 as a junior) and became one of the varsity captains his junior year.

Nick also ran hurdles and did long jump, and high jump. Outside of track, he played freshman basketball and golf, competed in junior PGA golf tournaments, and was super involved in honor societies (even ran communications for the art one).
So far, Carter’s parents and extended family haven’t broken their silence on his sudden passing.
Carter Bradford was a promising young track and field athlete from Coto de Caza, California, competing for the Santa Margarita Catholic High School Eagles as part of the class of 2026.

As a dedicated member of the school’s boys’ track and field team, he trained and raced in a program known for its strong history of CIF championships and talented runners.
While still early in his high school career as a junior, Carter had already shown dedication by joining the varsity roster. However, his dreams were cut short in the tragic accident.
During this challenging time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Carter Bradford’s family and pray for their strength.
