Fans of the AFL are curious to find out about the personal life of Chris Scott, mostly about his wife, Sarah Scott.

Chris Scott is a former Australian rules footballer and coach who was born on 3 May 1976 in Melbourne, Victoria.

The retired athlete has made a name for himself as one of the top AFL coaches.

He spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Fremantle before being named the senior coach of Geelong on October 15, 2010.

Geelong won its first thirteen games of the 2011 season, giving Scott’s AFL coaching tenure a fantastic start. His string of thirteen victories was the best coaching debut in nearly 80 years.

Scott led the Cats to the premiership in his debut season, solidifying his place in Geelong history.

By leading Geelong to 13 victories to open the season, he set a league record for the most victories in a row for a first-year coach.

In the 2022 AFL Grand Final, Scott led Geelong to a premiership victory with a victory of 81-point margin. As a result, he became a two-time premiership coach.

Chris Scott Wife: Sarah Scott

Chris is married to his wife Sarah Scott, who is co-founder of “Natural Supply Co,” a skincare company that sells environmentally friendly, chemical-free beauty products.

The beautiful couple are parents to a daughter, Leila, who was born in 2013.

Sarah completed her early education in Japan before coming back to Australia. She has experience in the medical field, having worked as a certified nurse in dermatology in both Geelong and London.

In addition to that, she has studied traditional Chinese medicine in Brisbane and Perth, which has given her holistic and herbal respect for health and beauty.

Moreover, Sarah is the co-chair of Geelong Gallery, an art gallery in Wadawurrung Country.

Talking about his family, Chris was born to his father, Colin, and mother, Lynne Scott. He grew up alongside an identical twin brother Brad Scott, who is a few minutes younger than him.

Brad played alongside him at the Brisbane Lions and is currently the senior coach of Essendon.

Chris Scott Playing Career

With the Brisbane Bears, Scott made his AFL debut in 1994 and won the Norwich Rising Star award.

He used his strength to outmuscle opposition forwards and developed into one of the AFL’s hardest defensive players.

Some fans dubbed him and his brother Brad ‘the Kray brothers’ because of their vicious and powerful playing methods.

Between 1994 and 1996, Chris participated in 55 games and scored 23 goals with the Brisbane Bears.

After the end of the 1996 season, he joined the newly formed Brisbane Lions and created more history.

Scott won the premiership in 2001 and 2002, but an injury in 2003 prevented him from winning a third trophy. Likewise, he also took part in the 2004 Lions championship game.

After announcing his retirement from playing on August 28, 2007, he played his last game on September 1, 2007, in Brisbane’s round 22 encounter against Geelong.

Between 1997 and 2007, Chris participated in 160 games with the Brisbane Lions, scoring 56 goals.
