Scott Adams, best known as the creator of the Dilbert comic strip, recently shared that his prostate cancer has spread to his bones.
Now living alone after two divorces, Scott Adams has faced significant personal changes in recent years.
Kristina Basham, one of Scott Adams’ former wives, has a fascinating side to her as a cross-country runner.
As a teenager, Kristina was a natural at distance running. What’s impressive is how she balanced this with her other passions, like playing multiple musical instruments– piano, violin, flute, and keeping up with her studies.
She also won a gold medal in a 20-mile cross-country race during high school in Walnut Creek, California.
Scott Adams And Kristina Basham Met, Fell In Love, Faced Public Scrutiny, And Eventually Parted Ways
Kristina and Scott met around 2016, and Scott once described their encounters as “the normal way people meet.”
At the time, both were coming out of their previous marriages.

Kristina married a guy during her college years, and they had two daughters, Hazel and Marin, but they separated in 2014.
Meanwhile, Scott split from his first wife, Shelly Miles, in the same year, after eight years and a role as stepdad to her two kids.
Their relationship raised eyebrows because of the 31-year age gap. When they started dating, Scott was in his late 50s, and Kristina was in her late 20s.
Social media wasn’t always kind, with trolls tossing out snarky comments like “Is she your granddaughter?” or suggesting Kristina was after Scott’s money.
However, they seemed smitten, sharing cute moments online, like Kristina posting about a fun day with Scott at a resort.
In December 2019, Scott proposed hiding the ring in a box of chocolates.
They married on July 11, 2020, in a low-key backyard ceremony with Kristina’s parents, grandparents, and siblings.
By March 2022, things unraveled. Scott announced on his podcast, Real Coffee with Scott Adams, that they were “separated slash going through a divorce.”
He kept it vague, saying it was a process that had been going on for a while and asking folks not to worry if they saw either of them out with someone new.
Kristina, on the same day, tweeted that she was dealing with the divorce and battling cancer, which hit fans hard.
Then, in a separate Twitter post around May 2022, she shared that she was pregnant with a boy, due in about 27 weeks.
Her announcement came just a few months after the divorce news, which sparked online speculation.
Now that Kristina is still living her busy, interesting life, and although she had a baby, she hasn’t shared who the father is.
Meanwhile, Scott continues to make comics and share his strong opinions.
