Sean Lewis and his wife, Sarah Lewis, have been together through every up and down.

Born on April 11, 1986, Sean Lewis transitioned from being a collegiate football player to becoming a football coach.

Lewis graduated from Harold L. Richards High School and the University of Wisconsin.

After completing his education, he held diverse roles, such as working as a personal trainer and office supply sales job, before committing to a career in coaching.

He then gained experience in various coaching roles at Nebraska-Omaha, Akron, Eastern Illinois, Bowling Green, Syracuse, Kent State, and Colorado.

Most recently, San Diego State appointed Lewis as its new head coach, replacing the retiring Brady Hoke.

The couple are the parents of two kids: son Rory (born 2016) and daughter Kiera (born 2020).

During the announcement of his head coaching position, Sarah and their children, Rory and Kiera, were all present in the front row, highlighting the importance of family in Sean Lewis’s life.

Sean Lewis has been appointed as the 19th head coach in the history of the San Diego State football program.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Lewis stated,

“I’m excited to bring a style of football that will be fast, go fast, be wide open and be balanced, attack vertically and gives us the opportunity to win in a variety of ways.”

Lewis has officially signed a 5-year contract with San Diego State, featuring a starting salary of $1,753,100 in 2024, which will see incremental increases each subsequent year.

According to USA Today, this places him as the fourth-highest-paid coach in the Mountain West Conference.

Additionally, his contract includes various bonuses, including $25,000 for advancing to the conference championship and $75,000 for winning it.

Moreover, it also includes a bonus of $75,000 for defeating two top-25 teams (AP or USA Today), $50,000 for achieving a top-15 final ranking, and an additional $10,000 if his team maintains a GPA higher than 2.80.
