Archie grew up in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and earned the nickname “Archie” at an early age due to his personality, which was similar to that of Archie Bunker.
Both he and his older brother, Sean Miller, grew up in a basketball-oriented family and played for their father, John Miller, at Blackhawk High School.
Archie played as a point guard for North Carolina State from 1998 to 2002.

Coaching Career
Miller has gained experience as an assistant coach at several programs, including Western Kentucky, NC State, Arizona State, Ohio State, and Arizona.
Subsequently, he assumed the role of head coach for the Dayton Flyers men’s basketball team in 2011 and held the position until 2017.
On March 27, 2017, Miller was appointed as the 29th head coach in the history of the Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball team.
His four-year tenure at Indiana concluded with a record of 67-56, a 33-43 Big Ten record, and no NCAA tournament appearances.
As of March 18, 2022, he currently serves as the head coach at Rhode Island.
Personal Life
While studying at NC State, Miller crossed paths with Morgan Nicole Cruse, a fellow student and a member of the Wolfpack’s track and field team.
Their relationship blossomed during their college years, eventually exchanging their wedding vows in 2003. Together, they have welcomed a daughter named Leah Grace.
