Spencer Samuel Jackson of Menan, Idaho, passed away at the age of 17.
Born on April 29, 2006, in Menan, Idaho, Spencer was very athletic, but he was no jock.
He participated in track, wrestling, tennis, and skiing, but his consistent sports love was pickleball.
Spencer had an injury in his right shoulder because he just wouldn’t stop playing, so he taught himself to play left-handed.
Jackson was on the path to finishing his STEM Associate Degree at the same time he graduated from high school.
He was also planning to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when he graduated.

As per the sources, Spencer Samuel Jackson took his last breath on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Menan at the age of 17.
The cause of death has not been revealed yet.
Several close ones and relatives have poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Spencer’s family to stay strong in this difficult time.
Recently, the news circulated that a local Secret Santa is giving $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season.
Until the end of this year, the East Idaho News elves will be delivering gifts from Secret Santa.
Spencer’s mother, Stephanie Ward, is currently navigating the heartbreak of burying her son while also trying to keep the family’s small business running along with her husband, Shane.
A local Secret Santa heard the family could use some help this Christmas and asked the East Idaho News elves to visit Stephane.
EastIdaho News uploaded a video on their official YouTube channel, in which journalist Nate Eaton went to Stephanie’s residence and gave her a $5000 as a gift from a local Secret Santa.
Stephanie became emotional with her eyes full of tears.

- Services for Spencer were held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Menan Stake Center, 698 N 3500 E, Menan, ID. The gathering was also held on Thursday at the Stake Center from 6:00-7:30 PM and from 9:30-10:45 Am before service.
- Spencer is survived by his sistersm Lynette Herrera of Snowville, Breanne Bartholomew of Roy, and Sarah Prestwich of Rexburg.
- He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shawna Romney Jackson, and his cousin Malcolm Knighton.
