Haden O’Connor Lost His Life In An ATV Accident

A community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of a young life after a devastating ATV accident took the life of 13-year-old Haden O’Connor of Union City.

The incident occurred late Tuesday afternoon off Valley Road in Venango Township, leaving family, friends, and neighbors in shock.

According to Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook, Haden and a friend were riding a side-by-side ATV when it overturned, trapping him beneath it.

His friend managed to push the vehicle off, but the injuries Haden sustained were fatal. He was pronounced dead at UPMC Hamot Hospital at 5 p.m.

Coroner Cook ruled the death accidental, caused by blunt force trauma to the trunk.

No parent should ever have to endure the pain of losing a child, especially one so young. Haden’s family is now facing unimaginable grief as they navigate this tragic loss.

Heather O’Connor organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time.

It aims to cover funeral expenses and any additional costs that may arise in the coming months, allowing Haden’s parents, Doug and Debra, to focus on grieving and supporting one another.

The community is asked to keep Haden’s family in their thoughts and prayers as they face the difficult days ahead. May they find strength, peace, and comfort in the love and support surrounding them during this heartbreaking time.

Rest in peace, Haden O’Connor.
