Malik Benjamin Milton was born on 26 September 1996 in Savannah, Georgia, to Myron Milton and Lisa Milton. His father, Myron, used to coach basketball at AAU.
Myron always wanted his son to become a basketball player and now Malik has achieved his dream.
But sadly, he was not able to see his son play in the NBA, as he passed away when Malik was about 11 years old.

However, the Mavericks traded him with the Philadelphia 76ers for the rights to the 56th pick, Ray Spalding, and the 60th pick, Kostas Antetokounmpo.
After that, Milton signed a two-way contract with the 76ers and started playing for their G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats.
Milton debuted in the NBA on 30 November 2018, in a game against the Washington Wizards, and scored five points and provided two assists.
Milton appeared in 20 games that season and had an average of 4.4 points per game, 0.9 assists, and 1.8 rebounds.
