Shrewsbury, MO, Mass Juvenile Brawl Erupts Outside Sky Zone, 8 Fights Break Out in Minutes

On Sunday afternoon, June 7, 2026, what was supposed to be a fun outing for local kids turned into a chaotic scene outside Sky Zone trampoline park at 7375 Watson Road in Shrewsbury, Missouri.

Shrewsbury Police were dispatched at approximately 3:42 p.m. after reports of a large disturbance involving hundreds of juveniles.

Sky Zone Hosted a Packed Event With No Extra Security in Place

The trouble started when Sky Zone hosted what they called a “6-7 Event” without arranging additional security staff despite knowing a large crowd was expected.

Officers arrived to find between 300 and 350 unaccompanied juveniles waiting outside in temperatures hovering around 90 degrees. With the building already at capacity and no crowd management in place, tensions boiled over fast.

Within minutes, approximately eight separate fights broke out. As officers moved in, the crowd scattered in every direction, forcing police to call in assistance from neighboring agencies to help manage the situation.

Fights Spread to Nearby Stores, A 12-Year-Old Showed Up Armed

The chaos did not stay contained to Sky Zone’s parking lot. Juveniles flooded into surrounding businesses, including Walmart, Aldi, and My Place, where they caused property damage and threatened both customers and employees.

Most nearby businesses had no choice but to shut their doors for the remainder of the day.

As officers worked to restore order, the juveniles, ranging in age from 10 to 17, directed their aggression toward police.

They yelled obscenities, made threats, threw rocks, and refused to leave the area. Several were detained and later released to their parents or guardians.

Among those detained was a 12-year-old girl who was found carrying a butcher knife. She told officers she had taken an Uber alone from Florissant after seeing videos of the fights circulating on social media. She said she brought the weapon with her for protection.

The incident was not fully cleared until around 9:30 p.m. that evening. No officers were injured, and no other injuries were reported.

The Shrewsbury Police Department publicly thanked all outside agencies that responded to their call for backup.

What People Are Saying

The police department’s Facebook post drew hundreds of reactions and comments from stunned residents.

Jonelle Masciotti wrote:

“Let’s talk about a 12yr old being able to Uber alone? What!!! That’s wild!”

Cindy Churchill shared Uber’s official policy in response, noting that children under 13 are not permitted to travel alone in an Uber even with a teen account, and that drivers are required to cancel the ride if they arrive and find an unaccompanied minor without an active Uber for Teens account.

Bradley Bodeux questioned how a 12-year-old even had the funds for the trip, writing:

“How does a 12-year-old even afford to Uber from Florissant all the way out to Shrewsbury? That’s even outside of my budget.”

Jeremy Andrew referenced a recent high-profile case, commenting:

“12-year-old with a butcher knife for protection, she’s trying the Karmelo Anthony defense.”

Cheryl Pruitt pointed out that a Sky Zone location in nearby Manchester had faced a similar situation the previous year involving a social media-announced party, questioning why lessons had not been learned.
