Roger Goodell’s wife, Jane Skinner, was a successful broadcast journalist known for her work with Fox News; however, she retired from journalism in 2010.

Roger Stokoe Goodell, an American businessman born on February 19, 1959, has been the NFL’s commissioner since 2006.

In 1982, Goodell began his NFL career as an administrative intern in the league office in New York under then-Commissioner Pete Rozelle.

He is a driving force in the NFL, playing a large part in league growth, realignment, and stadium building. Additionally, he launched the NFL Network and secured new broadcast arrangements.

Jane Skinner is the wife of the NFL’s commissioner, Roger Goodell. Jane met her future husband for the first time at a mutual friend’s wedding.

Although Skinner was not interested in marriage and wanted to focus on her career, she thought Goodell was “super nice” when they met.

The career-oriented Jane ultimately gave in, and the pair married in 1997. In 2006, the NFL appointed Goodell as its commissioner.

In 2001, Skinner and Goodell welcomed their twin daughters. The couple has done their utmost to keep their girls out of the limelight.

Besides Broadcast Journalism, Jane Skinner Has Also Dabbled In Producing Several NFL And Sports Projects

Besides being a supportive wife and nurturing mother, Jane Skinner has completed many career milestones.

Jane Skinner was born on February 12, 1967, and spent her childhood growing up in Lake Forest, Illinois.

The former daytime news anchor worked for Fox News, co-hosting Happening Now with Jon Scott from 11 am to 1 pm ET.

Skinner is an alumnus of Northwestern University and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in broadcast journalism.

She began her career as a reporter for KBJR in Duluth, Minnesota, and then worked for WCSH in Portland, Maine.

In 1993, Skinner became a reporter for KMOV in St. Louis. In January 1995, she became the weekend evening anchor for WITI in Milwaukee.

After freelancing for WNBC, Fox News Channel hired Skinner as a correspondent and weekend anchor.

Nonetheless, she announced her retirement from broadcast journalism on air in 2010. Following her retirement, she dabbled in producing several NFL and sports projects.

Furthermore, Skinner was also an executive producer on many series centered on female NFL players. From 2019 to 2022, she produced three projects.

She co-produced NFL Network’s documentary, A Lifetime of Sundays, featuring four female NFL owners (Norma Hunt, Virginia McCaskey, Martha Firestone Ford, and Patricia Rooney).

Skinner also co-produced the NFL-backed podcast “Earnin’ It: The NFL’s Forward Progress” and Peacock‘s five-part TV series.

Moreover, her career graph showcases her determination, brilliance, and love for sports, particularly the NFL. Together, Jane and Roger have made significant contributions to the NFL.
