He grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, where his high school diploma was famously displayed at a local skate shop.
His skating left a mark across the Midwest, Arizona, and California, where he built strong connections and became a beloved figure in the scene.
Walker, known for his wild, carefree approach to life and skateboarding, was a key figure in the Midwest skate scene.
He had a knack for making people laugh, taking hard slams, and keeping the energy high during sessions.
Additionally, his frontside 50-50 in Phoenix was one of his standout moments.
This trick is already a staple in skating, but the way he executed it on a serious obstacle, with undeniable style, made it legendary.
His raw, punk-rock energy made every trick feel like a statement.
Moreover, he was featured in the Midwest skate video Life Won’t Wait, which showcased his raw talent and dedication to the sport.
Walker’s passing has left a void in his family and the skateboarding community. One of his friends, Greg, mourned his loss and said
Rob Walker lived life to the fullest. Sure he was burning the candle at both ends and right up through the middle. But he was living life. I sure am going to miss you my friend.
This is my absolute favorite photo I ever took of Rob. He was in his element at a Sloppy Seconds show at the Emerson Theater. I was up on the stage and yelled his name and which made him turn and got this perfect cheesin pic of him with the unicorns flying.

Also, his mother, Robin, shared her grief, saying:
I lost my beautiful, 37 year old son on Mother’s Day. Life will never be the same. Memories are sweet but they’re not enough.
