NFL legend John Elway’s longtime agent, Jeff Sperbeck, was with his wife at The Madison Club when the accident occurred.

Jeff Sperbeck, a seasoned NFL contract advisor with over 30 years of experience, is a longtime sports agent and business partner of NFL legend John Elway.

He has represented over 100 NFL players throughout his career and played a significant role in managing Elway’s football contracts and business ventures.

In 2013, he and Elway co-founded 7Cellars, a winery based in Napa.

Recently, Sperbeck got into a tragic accident at The Madison Club in La Quinta, California, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

He was riding on the back of a moving golf cart when he fell off unexpectedly and struck his head on the ground.

His wife and another bystander immediately rushed to his aid, and he was taken to the Desert Regional Medical Center.

However, despite emergency services, he couldn’t recover from his injuries due to their severity. Sperbeck suffered a serious head injury, which likely caused traumatic brain damage.

Doctors informed his family that his injuries are irreversible and that he has no chance of recovery.

He is currently on life support, and his family is making arrangements to donate his organs.
