American sports commentator Scott Van Pelt and Stephanie Van Pelt have been married for over 13 years.
Recently, Tyrese Haliburton appreciated Scott Van Pelt admitting he was wrong about the Indiana Pacers and questioning those who still doubt the team.
The other night on his edition of SportsCenter, Scott claimed he was late to the party on the Pacers but now believed in them.
After the Pacers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-110 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Haliburton let Van Pelt know he appreciated it.

“The other night on my show, I put my hand up and I said, look, I was late to the party on it,”

“Yeah, you’re a real one for that. You’re a real one,” “But a lot of your counterparts won’t admit that now.”

Van Pelt then pointed out that the Pacers were below .500 at Christmas, and Haliburton agreed, “Yeah, we were rough.”
Haliburton hit his fourth game-winning shot of the 2025 postseason on Thursday night to give Indiana a 111-110 victory in Game 1.
However, the Indiana Pacers lost a match against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2 with a score of 107-123.

American sports commentator Scott Van Pelt married Stephanie Van Pelt on October 22, 2011.
Their wedding was a private affair, attended by close friends and family.
On March 3, 2017, the couple attended the 2017 Tim Tebow Foundation Celebrity Gala at TPC Sawgrass.

As per the reports, Stephanie lost her friend in June 2022 due to brain cancer.
Later, on April 30, 2023, Stephanie participated in the 2023 Bug Sur 11-Miler with the Gray Nation Endurance Team in support of the National Tumor Society, continuing the fight to give other families battling brain cancer hope for a different future.
However, Stephanie has avoided the media spotlight, so little is known about her personal life.

Scott and Stephanie welcomed their first child, a daughter named Lila Catherine, 13, in 2012.
In 2019, Scott dedicated a portion of his SportsCenter episode to his daughter, Lila.
In a powerful segment, Scott admitted that he had hoped his first child would be a boy but found that having a daughter completely changed his worldview. He added,
“I would just say this – to any man out there who is about to become a dad for the first time… Maybe you grew up in sports, like me. Maybe you’re thinking you want a boy. And I get it, I do. That was me. And my sons are a joy to me.

The couple welcomed their second child, a son named Sam Van Pelt, 9, in 2016. He took to his Twitter handle to announce the birth of his son.

Scott and Stephanie were blessed with their third child, a son named Charlie Van Pelt, 7, on August 28, 2017.
On August 28, 2019, Scott wished Charlie a happy 2nd birthday through his Twitter handle by stating,
Charlie is two today. He’s such an awesome, little dude. I’m so grateful to be his papa.
