Canadian hockey player Jordan Binnington and his wife, Cristine Prosperi, were over the moon after the country’s hard-earned victory over the US. The hockey world lauded Binnington’s masterful performance against the US and so did his beautiful wife, Cristine.

Connor McDavid’s goal might’ve won Canada the game against the US, but it was Binnington, who kept them alive.

Many doubted Binnington before the game day. Calls for Logan Thompson and Mackenzie Blackwood to start over Binnington were mentioned, but Jordan silenced them all.

Binnington faced 33 shots and stopped 31 of them. Canada went on to win 3-2 in overtime with McDavid’s goal.

After the game, Binnington said, “As an athlete, as a competitor, there’s always going to be that doubt, and you’ve got to use that as motivation and find a way and believe in yourself to get the job done.”

The veteran also spoke about the pride of being a Canadian hockey player and finding a way to win with everything going on.

Drafted by the St. Louis Blues as the 88th overall pick in the 2011 NHL draft, Binnington made his NHL debut on January 9, 2016, against the Carolina Hurricanes.

The road to becoming a starter for the Blues was tough, but Binnington never gave up.

His first start for the Blues came in 2019 against the Philadelphia Flyers during which he made 25 saves for a 3-0 shutout win.

This was also the same year, the Blues won the Stanley Cup against the Boston Bruins, with Binnington starting every playoff game.

Jordan Binnington’s Wife, Cristine Prosperi, Shares A Celebratory Post After Team Canada’s Win

Taking to her Instagram handle, after Team Canada’s win over the US, Prosperi shared a photo of her hugging her superstar husband.

She wrote, “Couldn’t be prouder of our guy,” with a series of heart and Canadian flag emojis.

On her Instagram page, Prosperi has shared several family photos throughout the years, giving the hockey fans a glimpse into their family life.

Born and raised in Toronto, Prosperi is an actress known for her portrayal of Imogen Moreno in the television series Degrassi.

Prosperi, 32, began her acting career in 2006. She starred in a short movie titled For All The Marbles.

In 2009, she was seen in the TV series, The Latest Buzz but that was only for one episode.

After starring in Degrassi between 2011-2014, Pristine was next seen in the TV series Open Heart.

In recent years, Prosperi has been mostly seen in TV movies, including The Cheerleader, Murder at 17, Charming But Deadly, and Top of the Class.

Her last work came in the 2022 TV movie, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder in which she starred as Diana.

On Instagram, the Canadian actress has promoted various fashion brands, including Revolve, Monday Swimwear, and Lack of Color Hats.
