He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Sophie Santillanes, his parents, and a community of family and friends who loved him deeply.

Ryan and Sophie shared a rare and beautiful bond, serving as each other’s best friends and steadfast partners. He cherished her completely and served as a guiding light in her life, helping her become a better person.

His devotion was unwavering, and he promised to love Sophie until her last breath, a promise he fulfilled every day of his life.

I can’t believe my sweet boy, Ryan, is actually gone. God truly put him in my life to help me become a better person, and he did. He truly helped me become a better person. He was my best friend, the love of my life, my handsome husband. He is my world. Now, he’s gone, he will never be forgotten, will be remembered by everybody who ever knew him. He was a very special man. I will love him for the rest of my life, and you will always have a special place in my heart.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Ryan’s life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Boulevard NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.

He will be dearly missed, but the love he gave will never be forgotten.
