It’s been over half a decade since Chilean-Mexican professional wrestler Stephanie Vaquer debuted on the international platform, garnering comprehensive media coverage and exposure to a wide range of audiences.

Over the years, she has gripped the ground as a wrestler, resulting in curiosity amongst audiences about her family background, especially her parents, but Stephanie Vaquer appears to be reluctant to share her personal life in the media.

However, it’s been known that her parents come from Chile and still reside there with other family members, while Stephanie Vaquer has shifted to Mexico for her rising wrestling career.

On July 11, 2024, while talking about her first WWE tryout with radio personality Denise Salcedo, Stephanie Vaquer mentioned about her family and said,

I remember WWE asking me a lot. I hadn’t seen my family for a long time. I was already living in Mexico, and they gave me two more days so I could go see my family before the try out.

Well, it’s pretty assumable that the 5-foot and 3-inch-tall lady wrestler wouldn’t be where she is today without the support of her family.

According to media reports, her mother encouraged her passion for wrestling at an early stage by supporting her financially.

On July 10, 2024, a pro-wrestler follower named Himanshu Doi shared a tweet, which read,

In this post from 2020, Stephanie Vaquer said that when she was 14 years old, a WWE show in Chile was announced. She wanted to see Rey Mysterio and asked her mother for money, but it was expensive, so she sold hot dogs to make money. When she finally made enough, it was sold out.

Now, Stephanie, originally Ana Stephanie Vaquer González, has become one of the strongest wrestlers to have signed a contract with WWE.

Stephanie Vaquer appears to have a poor family background, as she once revealed that she raised money to come to Mexico to pursue wrestling

Stephanie Vanquer was 13 years old when she discovered her passion for wrestling and completely fell in love with the game until she turned 16.

Right after she realized that she wanted to pursue a career in wrestling, she started raising money in the neighborhood, probably suggesting that her family was not financially stable.

In an exclusive talk with Denise Salcedo, she said,

When I started to get really serious about wanting to be a wrestler. Then, when I was 16 or so, I started to raise money, and I came to Mexico to learn wrestling and I stayed in Mexico.

Whatever her background, she has accomplished a lot with her passion, talent, and hard work. In wrestling history, she has named herself the first luchadora in CMLL history to hold the titles of CMLL World Women’s Champion and CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Stephanie Vaquer also won the Strong Women’s Championship title in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
