Lane Lewis, a talented linebacker from Allen, Texas, who played for the Grambling Tigers and Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks, tragically passed away on November 26, 2025.

Though the exact cause of his death has not been publicly disclosed, his mother revealed that he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.

Lane Lewis Was A Beloved Linebacker From Allen, Texas

Nicknamed Fat Daddy, Lane Lewis was a beloved son, brother, friend, and standout athlete.

Lane, the youngest of ten children, grew up in Houston, Texas, and became known for his bright personality.

Born in Allen, Texas, Lane Lewis built a promising collegiate football career marked by dedication.

He began with the Grambling Tigers, where he played for three seasons from 2021 to 2024, developing his skills and earning recognition as a determined linebacker.

In 2024, he joined the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks, playing for one season and proudly wearing the #11 jersey.

While his recorded stats show two forced fumbles and no interceptions, his impact went far beyond numbers.

Lane’s sudden passing has left his family, community, and teammates in deep mourning.

His friends and teammates shared a tribute and heartfelt message on social media following his passing.

Lane Lewis’s mother, Khimmie Khim, is pleading for strength in her grief, saying:

Lane’s family is planning a memorial in Dallas and raising funds to help relatives from California attend.

Khristen Carter and Elizabeth Dillow are raising funds via a GoFundMe campaign titled “Help Lane’s Family Gather for His Memorial.”

The purpose of the GoFundMe campaign for Lane Lewis is to help his large, close-knit family cover travel expenses so they can gather together in Dallas for his memorial services.

Although he passed away too soon, his memories and impact will continue to live on.
