This article was last updated by on

English cricketer Steven Finn usually refrains from sharing about his personal life, but people somehow manage to know it. According to some sources, the athlete has a wife but rarely posts her on his social media handle.

Previously, too, when he was dating another Englishwoman, Finn wanted the matter to stay away from the media as much as possible. Still, reports about their vacations together frequently appeared on popular news portals then.

Now that he lives happily with his new fiancee, fans are curious about her. Is Finn already married to her? Or are they just dating? Read this article further to find out!

Having made his first-class debut for Middlesex Cricket Club in 2005, Finn became the club’s youngest-ever first-class debutant at just sixteen years old. He made it to England’s U-16 team and later traveled to South Africa that same year.

He played his first test match cricket for England on March 2, 2010, against Bangladesh. With this, Finn became the 647th cricketer to play Test cricket for the English national team.

Besides, he has represented England in numerous international competitions in all formats, including T20Is and ODIs. However, he has not appeared in any international matches for them since he last played against South Africa in 2017.

Steven Finn’s Wife: Amber O’Shea

The famous English bowler has not publicly said anything about his marriage, but he sometimes posts a picture of himself with a gorgeous lady on his Instagram handle.

Her name is Amber O’Shea, and she is from London. However, she now lives with her fiancee in Brighton.

When he first uploaded a picture with her in 2019, fans immediately thought she was his partner and wrote comments congratulating the couple.

His last photo with her was posted on July 24, 2020, where they both were seen wearing Ruth Strauss Foundation‘s T-shirt, apparently to promote former English batsman Andrew Strauss’s organization, which he established after his wife’s death.

Unlike other English players who share much of their moments with their fans, Finn prefers keeping his personal life separate from media attention. Not to mention, his wife has also kept her Instagram handle private.

As a result, almost nothing about his life with O’Shea is known to the public, including his marriage to her.

Before Amber, Finn was in a relationship with another British woman named Rose Hall. However, they broke up around 2018.

Finn Announces Retirement From Cricket At 34

English right-arm fast bowler Steven Finn recently announced his retirement from all formats of cricket.

The 34 years old had been out of the field for most of 2023 because of a knee injury, which eventually led him to leave the game after 18 years of cricket career.

In a statement shared by his club Sussex County on April 14, Finn wrote, “I have been fighting a battle with my body for the last 12 months and have admitted defeat to it.”

He further added, “I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to play cricket as my vocation since I made my debut for Middlesex in 2005. The journey hasn’t always been smooth, but I have loved it, nonetheless.”

Having started to play for England in 2010, Finn played 21 T20Is, 69 ODIs, and 36 Test matches. He appeared in three Ashes series, winning all of them.

Although he had not been part of any English campaign after 2017, Steven’s role in the last decade was crucial for the English national cricket team.

Playing in 126 matches altogether for England, Steven Finn has picked up 254 wickets.
