The professional cricketer Stuart Broad has an elder sister, Gemma Broad, who previously worked as a team analyst for the ECB.

Stuart Broad is an English cricketer who has established himself as one of the most accomplished fast bowlers in the history of English cricket.

Born on June 24, 1986, in Nottingham, England, Broad has represented his country in all three game formats and has achieved numerous accolades throughout his career.

One of the defining moments of Broad’s career came during the 2015 Ashes series against Australia.

In the fourth test, Broad produced a sensational spell of bowling, taking eight wickets for just 15 runs.

Gemma Broad is the older sister of cricketer Stuart Broad. Unlike Stuart, Gemma was born in New Zealand.

She graduated with a BSc degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences in 2005 from the University of Exeter.

Gemma then completed her Master’s degree in Performance Analysis at the University of Wales in 2006.

The professional cricketer’s sister then started her corporate career as a performance analyst for the England and Wales Cricket Board.

Stuart’s sister, Gemma, worked as a team analyst at the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

From 2007 to 2009, Gemma was a member of the England Women’s team that won both the ODI and T20 World Cup tournaments.

Following that, in 2009, she transitioned to become the analyst for the England Men’s team, winning two Ashes campaigns (in 2009 and 2010/11) and T20 World Cup in 2010.

She held the position of team performance analyst for more than five years, from April 2009 to September 2014.

After that, she worked as a freelance performance consultant for Equiratings for nine months.

Currently, she is the owner of Embrace Bespoke Upholstery and Design, which she founded in December 2020.

In addition, she is the co-founder of The Broad Appeal Limited, a nonprofit that raises money and awareness of Motor Neurone disease.

Stuart’s father, Chris Broad, is a former English cricketer with a distinguished career as an opening batsman for England.

Chris was born on September 29, 1957, in Birmingham, England. He made his international debut in 1984 and played 26 test matches for England. 

His second wife, Miche Broad, was diagnosed with motor neuron disease in 2009, and sadly, she committed suicide in July 2010.

Consequently, Stuart and Gemma Broad founded a charity called “The Broad Appeal“.
