Stump Mitchell wife and details about his personal life have always remained a mystery. But the former Browns coach has parented five kids with Rita Mitchell.
Many football fans have always believed that the coach never tied the knot. We do not know when Rita walked down the aisle with Coach Stump, but they do share five kids-Eric, Reco, Shawn, Lionel, and Gail.

Some might even know Gail from her acting roles in the TV series Snowfall. But Gail has also never talked about her dad in her interviews but has talked about her mom and Rita’s influence in her life.
After five seasons, the Cleveland Browns have parted ways with the running backs coach. Mitchell sat down for an exclusive interview after he was fired and said he had no ill will for the Browns organization or head coach Kevin Stefanski.
But Stump talked about running back Kareem Hunt and called into question the 28-year-old’s work ethic. He lamented he couldn’t get the best out of Kareem.
Stump Mitchell Wife: Is He Married Or Dating Anyone?
The former Browns coach Stump Mitchell wife, Rita Mitchell, is a high school science teacher. It isn’t known whether Stump and Rita have separated, as the football coach never seems to talk about his family.
Not only have they shared the husband-wife bond, but the two are also parents to five kids. Most football fans know a coach’s family details will be mentioned on the team’s website.
The websites do not go into detail but write about the coach being married and state the names of their wives and kids. But the Cleveland Brown page hasn’t done anything like that for their former coach.

This could make many believe Coach Stump is unmarried and has no kids. But previously, in 2007, in an interview on the Seattle Seahawks website, Stump revealed he had kids.
When the coach was asked what was a defining moment of his life out of football, he replied, “The birth of my kids – nothing else compares to that. Mitchell coached the Seahawks from 1999-2007. He was their running backs coach.
The football coach isn’t on any social media pages, so not much is known about his personal life. In his previous interviews, Mitchell has talked about his family before marriage.
The football coach was raised alongside his six siblings by his single mother in Georgia. It was his older brother who gave him the name Stump.
Despite being smaller than other kids, Stump always wanted to play sports and was never intimidated by players bigger and older than him. Most of his interviews to date are related to his sports career rather than his personal life.

An article from 2008 states that the cornerback’s career with Alabama had ended. Lionel was placed on a medical scholarship because of persistent lower back pain.
But the cornerback later transferred to East Stroudsburg University and tried to revive his footballing career. Later that year, Lionel was set to represent ESU at the 2009 Valero Cactus Bowl.
