Many fans of WNBA star Sue Bird are curious about whether she and her wife, Megan Rapinoe, have any kids together.

Suzanne Brigit Bird, famous as Sue Bird, is a former American professional basketball player who played her entire career with the Seattle Storm in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).

The Storm selected her as the first overall pick in the 2002 WNBA draft and went on to become the WNBA champion four times.

Sue Bird started showcasing her basketball prowess during high school at Christ the King in Queens, New York.

She continued her basketball journey at the University of Connecticut, where she excelled as a point guard and guided her team to three consecutive Big East Conference titles.

Alongside her playing career, she held a front-office position as the Basketball Operations Associate for the NBA’s Denver Nuggets.

Additionally, Bird has played for three teams in Russia and holds both U.S. and Israeli citizenship.

The former basketball player Sue Bird, and Megan Rapinoe do not have kids together.

Their relationship began after they met at Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

After revealing their relationship, many fans wondered if they belonged to the LGBTQ community.

Megan had already shared about sexual orientation as gay in 2012 through an interview with OUT magazine.

On the other hand, Sue Bird did not publicly come out until 2017. In an interview with ESPNW, Bird openly stated she was gay and was in relation with Megan Rapinoe.

She explained that she never felt the need to hide her sexuality and that not discussing it publicly didn’t mean she was keeping it a secret.

The couple got engaged in 2020 after three years of dating.

Even though they have been engaged for quite some time, they revealed to fans in December 2020 that they were not in a hurry to get married.

Megan Rapinoe: Renowned Soccer Player

Sue Bird’s better half, Megan Rapinoe, is an American professional soccer player.

She plays as a winger and currently plays for OL Reign in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

Rapinoe has also been a vital United States national team member, participating in numerous international competitions.

She won gold medals with the United States national team at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, the 2015 FIFA and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Apart from her soccer career, Rapinoe advocates for numerous LGBTQIA+ organizations.

In 2013, she received the Board of Directors Award from the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center.

Moreover, Time magazine featured her on the 100 Most Influential People, recognizing her impact both on and off the field in 2020.

Furthermore, in July 2022, she received a Presidential Medal of Freedom award from President Joe Biden for her significant contributions to sports and activism.
