Michelle “MC” Chukwujekwu, the Survivor 49 Contestant and Sasche Native Fitness trainer, was born on October 6, 1995, in Garland, Texas, to Emmanuel and Stella Chukwujekwu.
She is also a former collegiate track and field athlete and was raised in Sasche, Texas, along with her brother, Emmanuel Jr., and sister, Jennifer. All three siblings have an upbringing of discipline and hard work, as family members.
In high School, the Survivor 49 star was a four-year letterwinner in track under coach Alexis Hill.
She also represented the team for all four years, earning two Team MVP awards and the 2012 Field Event Award.
Not only athletically, but she was also academically gifted and hardworking. She was recognized as a STAR Scholar and Honor Student in 2013
Eventually, she chose to continue her athletic career, attending Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, where she trained in track and field under head coach Andre English to gain vital experience and increase her chances of winning a medal.

She finished third in the 4×100 relay and eighth in the indoor triple jump, and later transferred to Houston Baptist University (HBU), where she majored in psychology while continuing her track career.
The former track and field athlete also enjoys pickleball, hiking, gaming, and roller skating.
Beyond her athletic career, Michelle has built a career as a fitness trainer, helping others achieve their health and wellness goals. Due to her passion and experience in this field, she was led to reality television.
In 2025, Michelle competed on Survivor 49, joining the Hina tribe. Her journey to the show was a blessing in disguise, though she was an alternative; she and Jason Treul replaced two contestants who broke the pre-game rules.
She joined the game as a last-minute alternate just 12 hours before filming began.
Host Jeff Probst has also highlighted her “bright, fun, engaging” personality and her backstory in fitness and as a college athlete, noting that she was judged for having a muscular, athletic body growing up.
Surprisingly, she only started watching Survivor less than a year before being cast, with Season 47, Episode 3 being her first-ever exposure to the show.
The official premiere date is Wednesday, September 24, 2025 (airing on CBS), which will be a two-hour special, whereas the regular episodes will run 90 minutes.
