Tar Heel Coach Hubert Davis And His Wife, Leslie Got Married In 1999 And Have Been Together Ever Since

In an interview with Chapel Hill Magazine, Tar Heel Coach Hubert Davis disclosed that his wife comes from an Army background.

Hubert Davis is the head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels Men’s basketball team.

Born on May 17, 1970, he attended Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia, where he averaged 28.0 points per game in his senior year.

He furthered his education at the University of North Carolina (UNC), where he played from 1088 to 1992.

He holds the record for the highest career three-point percentage in school history and graduated in 1992 with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Davis joined the UNC coaching staff as an assistant in 2012. He became the head coach of North Carolina on April 5, 2021, following Roy Williams’ retirement.

Hubert Davis’s wife, Leslie Davis, was born in South Carolina on November 3, 1971.

She grew up as an Army child, with her father, Bob Seigle, serving as an army officer at the Pentagon outside of Washington, and her mother, Bonnie Seigle. Additionally, Leslie has a sister who also serves in the US Army.

Regarding their relationship, Leslie and Hubert first met in high school at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia.

They reconnected and started dating while attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Finally, they married in 1999 at a private wedding ceremony and have been together ever since.

Leslie has been a supportive partner throughout Hubert’s basketball career and coaching journey.

She has an impressive educational background and dedicated herself to numerous charitable works.

Hubert often has expressed his admiration for his wife’s support. Once, in a press conference, Davis talked about his ethnic roots and expressed gratitude to his wife and kids for their support, stating,

I’ m very proud to be African AMerican. But i’m also very proud that my wife is white.And i’m very proud that my three beautiful, unbelievable kids are a combination of both of us.

The pair has three children: Elijah, Bobbie Grace, and Micah. Elijah follows in his father’s footsteps and plays college basketball for the University of Lynchburg.

Similarly, Bobbie is also involved in sports, though specific details about her are very rare in the public domain.

On the other hand, Micah is connected to the Air Force Falcons, which indicates his involvement with the Air Force Academy.

It seems that Leslie prefers to keep her personal life out of the public eye, which is why there isn’t much detail about her in the public domain. She is also active on social media, but her account is private.

On October 4, 2020, the coach posted a picture of his family with a touching caption tha read,

One of the things I pray for everyday is for my kids to have the same college experience I had at UNC. I want them to be surrounded by GREAT people like Coach Smith, Coach Guthridge, Coach Ford and Coach Hanners. I want them to find GREAT friends like King Rice, Rick Fox, Pete Chilcutt and Justin Kuralt. I want them to get a GREAT education and I want them in an environment that’s going to give them a chance/an opportunity.

Davis publicly expressed tremendous support and pride in his son Elijah’s decision to attend the University of Lynchburg.

He further highlighted the excitement for Elijah’s future and the opportunities it holds.

In an interview with Chapel Hill Magazine, he shared how they first met in high school and how she has been a constant source of support throughout his career.

He also mentioned that she is the only person he wants to spend every day with.
