Sources have confirmed that the New Orleans Saints tight-end footballer won’t be able to play in the upcoming match against the Kansas City Chiefs due to his recent injury and fractures.

The 34-year-old player’s injury occurred during New Orleans’ 26-24 Week 4 loss against the Atlanta Falcons, after which Taysom Hill left the game in the second quarter.

Taysom succumbed to injury after setting records of running for 24 yards and scoring two touchdowns, helping the Saints take an early lead.

The team took Taysom Hill to the hospital after the injury, and on Thursday, his team head coach, Dennis Allen, confirmed that Hill fractured his ribs.

Further, he also reported that Taysom Hill couldn’t participate in upcoming practice sessions, which made him unqualified to play in the next game.

Taysom Hill had previously missed the game due to a chest injury in 2024!

It is not the first time Taysom Hill had to leave the field in the middle of the game after suffering from an injury.

The NFL player previously left the field in the same season after suffering a chest injury, as reported by Deseret News. Due to his injury in Week 2, Hill missed the Saints’ Week 3 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

After the injury, team coach Dennis Allen said, “He’s great. He’ll be listed as questionable on the injury report and we’ll see how he does over the next couple of days. If he’s able to go, he’ll be out there, that’s for sure.

Before going home, Hill has tallied eight rushes for 53 yards and has caught two passes for two yards.

Overall, this season, in the three-game, Taysom Hill has run for 77 yards and two touchdowns. Furthermore, he also caught two short passes for 2 yards.

According to reports, the New Orleans Saints are trying to break their two-game losing streak while playing against the Super Bowl twice-in-a-row winner Kansas City Chiefs.

Due to his rib fracture, Taysom Hill has not practiced the whole week and will not play in the Monday, October 7, game against the Chiefs. According to the report, his fellow players Foster Moreau and Juwan Johnson might take his place in the game.
