Ty Darlington’s wife, Elise Darlington, has worked with multiple NFL teams to advance youth football.
Ty Darlington, born on December 3, 1994, has established himself as both a standout football player and a respected coach.
A former center at the University of Oklahoma, Darlington built a reputation as a leader on and off the field.
His academic excellence was widely recognized — he was a two-time Academic All-American and the recipient of both the prestigious William V. Campbell Trophy and the Wuerffel Trophy during his senior season.
After going undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, he briefly signed with the Tennessee Titans but did not make the roster.
He quickly transitioned into coaching, joining Oklahoma’s staff in 2017 and later working at Incarnate Word University before being hired by Tulsa as co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach in December 2023.
However, Darlington’s coaching tenure at Tulsa took an unfortunate turn.
On July 14, 2025, he was arrested by Jenks police on charges of aggravated DUI and reckless driving.
Officers reported witnessing him slam on his brakes near the scene of another accident, prompting the arrest.
The University of Tulsa acknowledged the incident and stated they were still gathering information.
