Tennis Star Caroline Dolehide Credits Her Parents, Brian And Mary, For Inspiring Her Love Of Sports

Caroline Dolehide, an American professional tennis player and two-time WTA Tour winner, hails from a family with a strong athletic background.

The Tennis star, Caroline Dolehide, was born on September 5, 1998, in Hinsdale, Illinois, to parents Brian P. Dolehide Sr. and Mary Catherine Dolehide. She has three siblings, Courtney, Stephanie, and Brian Jr.

Like Caroline, all of her siblings are exceptional tennis players. Her eldest sister, Courtney Magee Dolehide, is a former American professional tennis player and a UCLA tennis star, having won the NCAA National Championship and been named an All-American.

Courtney also served as the head coach of the men’s and women’s tennis teams at Georgetown University for over three years.

Similarly, her younger sister, Stephanie Dolehide, played collegiate tennis at the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as a tennis coach at Ruth Lake Country Club, Inc., for three years, as well as the tennis tournament director of the United States Tennis Association.

Caroline’s only brother, Brian Jr., serves as the director of golf and head coach of both the women’s and men’s golf teams at East Texas A&M University. He played college tennis at Florida Atlantic University, Nova Southeastern University, and Hinsdale Central High School.

Furthermore, Caroline Dolehide often expresses her love and appreciation for her parents, crediting them, especially her father, Brian, for instilling in her a love and passion for tennis from a very young age, which helped shape the professional sports careers of both her and her siblings.

While it is unclear whether Caroline’s mother, Mary Catherine Dolehide, played sports in college and high school, her father, Brian, played tennis and skied while attending Marist High School from 1974 to 1977.

Although her father, Brian P. Dolehide Sr., didn’t pursue his career in sports, he is thriving in his career as a property advisor.

Prior to his recent position, Brian served as the Director of Nonprofit Services at Institutional Property Advisors for over three years.

Similarly, from 2013 to 2015, he served as a senior real estate manager of the Archdiocese of Chicago, a religious institution where he assisted in the leasing and management of assets owned by the Catholic Bishop of Chicago, Portfolio including 2600 buildings, 5000 acres, and over 300 parishes in Lake and Cook County, Illinois.

Brian Dolehide earned his B.A. in major history and political science from Loyola University Chicago in 1981.

Talking about his personal life, Brian was born to a late father, Robert A. Dolehide, and a mother, Eileen Carroll. He is a proud brother of seven siblings named Robert Jr., John, Maureen, Michelle, Kevin, Kathlen, and Mary.

Prior to Cisco, Mary Catherine Dolehide served as an information technology sales professional at Sperco Associates for almost two years.

She also worked as an IBM Client Executive and manager at IBM, an IT services and consulting company, from 1989 to 2008, spanning nearly two decades.

Likewise, Mary Catherine Dolehide began her career as a trust officer of Harris Trust and Savings Bank in 1984 and served in that position for five years.

Mary earned her B.A. in major economics and business from Saint Mary’s College in 1984.
