Jon Gray, an American professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of MLB, is back in the headlines following his return from a fractured right forearm, helping lead his team to victory.

Rangers right-hander Jon Gray showcased his talent by throwing two scoreless innings in relief during the team’s 2–1 victory over the Athletics on Wednesday, July 23, marking his powerful return from a fractured right forearm.

While Jon Gray continues to win the hearts of millions with his impressive baseball career, he and his longtime wife, Jacklyn, are also making a difference through their charitable work and philanthropy.

Despite being a renowned MLB star, Jon Gray prefers to maintain a low profile, and so does his wife, Jacklyn.

The couple is not active on social media; however, they don’t miss a chance to connect with people and help those in need.

Jon and Jacklyn have been actively involved in several charitable works for years, particularly wth animal rescue and supporting military families and kids. They emphasize the value and importance of giving back.

In an interview with MLB, Jon Gray’s wife, Jacklyn, stated:

“Giving in something that’s definitely important to us. We’ve always given, but the Rangers have jumped behind us 110%. They’ve made what we’re doing even so much more impactful and we’ve been able to reach so many more people than we used to because of their support. So it’s really because of them giving us the avenues and making the connections that we need. We’re happy that we’re a part of a team that means just as much to them as it does to us.”

The Gary family actively hosts the Texas Rangers Toy Drive, an annual event that provides toys to children and families in need.

Back in 2023, the event donated 1300 toys, which benefited the Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex Christmas Toy Store.

Similarly, Jon Gray, along with his wife, Jacklyn Kay, and family, donated $100 per strikeout to The Pawerful Rescue in Royse City, Texas. This nonprofit animal rescue center works to provide a safe and comfortable home for animals.

They also have four Yorkshire Terrier rescue dogs and three cats, and are actively involved in animal rescue efforts, having volunteered at Planet Pet in Denver, Colorado.

Additionally, the couple has hosted military groups at Rangers games, providing tickets, dinner, and meet-and-greets.

They have also hosted the Birthday Party Project during Rangers games, bringing joy to children experiencing homelessness.

According to The Denver Post, Jacklyn and Jon came up with the idea to donate Jon’s long blonde hair to a good cause.

Back in April 2017, Jon donated his hair to Locks of Love, a nonprofit organization that provides wigs for U.S. and Canadian children under 21 who suffer from hair loss due to medical conditions.

Jon Gray and His Longtime Partner, Jacklyn, Tied The Knot in August 2015

Jon Gray and his wife, Jacklyn, have been happily married for a decade. They tied the knot in 2015 and will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary in August 2025.

According to reports, Jackyln, on her blog called The Graytest Moment, wrote that the couple started dating in August 2007 when she was 14 and Jon was almost 15 and were in junior high school.

We were quite the talk of the town,” wrote Jacklyn. The couple got engaged three months prior to their wedding in June 2015.

Jon Gray took to his Twitter to announce their engagement, sharing a heartfelt post that reads:

“Just want to share that I am engaged to the most beautiful girl in the world.”
