Upon leaving the Steelers, Weidl moved to the New Orleans Saints, where he became a scout.
He would later go to the Baltimore Ravens to significantly contribute to their scouting department.
In his tenure there, the Ravens were victors of the Super Bowl post-2012 season.

In May 2022, following Kevin Colbert’s retirement as longtime Steelers general manager, Andy Weidl returned to Pittsburgh as assistant general manager.
