Scott Moon’s death on September 5 shocked family, friends, and all who knew him.

His sudden passing left a deep void, yet memories of his larger-than-life personality, contagious laughter, and unwavering love for his family continue to shine through the grief.

Those closest to him describe Scott as a man who gave himself fully to others.

Maura O’Leary Kelso, who grew up alongside him, recalled how he became like a brother to her.

He was larger than life, fun, caring, kind, and he had the best laugh. He loved his family so well, and I’m heartbroken for Kristine and their beautiful kids,” she shared.

Her words reflect the way Scott’s warmth touched every corner of his life and the lives of those around him.

Clay Kilbarger remembered Scott for his unique energy and ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Scott Moon had an undeniable laugh that was often times funnier than the joke told to provoke it. A one of a kind energy that was excitable and contagious. A sensitive heart that was both empathetic and passionate about life, his family, and his friends,” he said.

He noted that Scott’s personality was far too big to ever fade away, a sentiment echoed by many who are mourning his passing.

Scott’s deep love for his family stood at the center of who he was.

As a devoted husband to Kristine and a loving father to Addison, Hunter, and Cooper, he built his life around creating joy and strength for those he cherished most.

Friends like Erin O’Neill Schultz described him as “the best of us,” someone who was more than a friend—he was family.

He was an uncle to my kids, a best friend to my husband, and like the brother I never had,” she reflected.

“I am heartbroken for Kristine who lost her person and for Addy, Hunter, and Cooper who lost their devoted dad.”

In the wake of his sudden passing, a GoFundMe has been created to support Kristine and their children as they face the emotional and financial challenges ahead.

The fundraiser will help cover funeral costs, the memorial service, and daily life expenses as the family navigates this difficult new chapter.

Scott Moon’s death is felt not only as the loss of a husband, father, son, and friend but also as the departure of a rare soul who gave light and laughter to everyone he met.

His memory will live on in the countless stories shared, the joy he spread, and the love he so freely gave.

Though his time was cut short, Scott’s legacy remains unforgettable—a reminder of the power of kindness, laughter, and devotion to family.
