The Detroit Red Wings star Patrick Kane and his soon-to-be-wife, Amanda Grahovec, have kept themselves low-key. The two aren’t active on Instagram, but that hasn’t stopped fans from gossiping about the NHL couple’s romantic life.
Kane, 36, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft.
The winger played for the Chicago Blackhawks for most of his career before he joined the New York Rangers.
His career with the Rangers was short-lived, and Kane signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Red Wings in November 2023.
Kane helped the Blackhawks to three 2010, 2013, and 2015 Stanley Cup trophies.
Nicknamed Showtime by fans, Kane became the youngest American player to reach 1000 regular season points in 2020.
In 2015, Kane became the first American-born player to secure the Hart Memorial Trophy as the MVP and the Art Ross Trophy as the scoring champion.
After having achieved tons with the Blackhawks, everybody believed Kane would retire with the Blackhawks.
However, with the franchise wanting to rebuild, Kane switched teams. But his two moves haven’t been fruitful.
The NHL legend is going through a scoring drought and is having a disappointing season.
Though Kane previously said he and his girlfriend love living in Detroit, transfer rumors are looming large.
Patrick Kane And His Wife-To-Be, Amanda Grahovec, Rarely Interact With The Media
The Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane and his girlfriend, Amanda Grahovec, are in a long-term relationship.
Kane and Grahovec began dating in 2012, but much is known about the couple due to their absence in the digital world.
In a 2016 Sports Illustrate interview, Kane said he was trying his best to spend more time with his girlfriend.
Amanda graduated from Harlington College of Design and previously worked as an interior architecture and designer in Greater Chicago.
We can’t say with certainty whether Amanda continued her profession after she moved to Detroit with her boyfriend or after becoming a mom.
The interior designer has a strong bond not only with Patrick but also with his family.
In 2013, Amanda and Donna Kane, Patrick’s mom, traveled to Europe together, strengthening Amanda’s connection with the Kane family.
Though the couple has stayed away from the limelight, it hasn’t stopped Patrick Kane’s fans from making various assumptions about their love life.
On Tumblr, many fans of the hockey legend have shared pictures of Amanda with her previous boyfriend.
Reading those posts, it looks like some fans have created a para-social relationship with Kane.
It could only be a matter of time before Kane puts a ring on Amanda’s finger. But the question is whether the winger is waiting to retire before he does that.
Patrick And Amanda Welcomed Their Only Child In 2020
Amanda and Patrick became parents for the first time in November 2020 as they welcomed Patrick Kane III into the Kane family.
Patrick Kane III has become a regular at his dad’s hockey games.
In March 2023, Patrick Kane III was present with his mom at Madison Square Garden to cheer for his dad on his debut with the Rangers.
Since their move to Detroit, Patrick Jr. has made new friends.
The Detroit’s winger, Alex DeBrincat’s son, Archie DeBrincat, and Patrick Kane III have become best friends.
A sweet moment between the two was captured before Detroit’s game.
In a video shared on Red Wings’ Instagram page, Patrick III is wearing jersey No. 83, a combination of his dad’s jersey No. 88 and DeBrincat’s number 93.
In an interview with WXYZ-TV Detroit, Patrick revealed that his son played a huge role in his signing with the Detroit Red Wings.
As a free agent, the hockey player said he would ask his son which team he should sign with, and Patrick Kane III would reply with Detroit.
Kane also stated in his interview that he enjoys raising his family in Detroit, and the move has worked out perfectly for his family, especially his son.
