The NASCAR Driver And Business Owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. Takes His Kids To School In His Chevy Truck

American stock car racing driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. has two kids, Isla and Nicole, with his wife, Amy Reimann.

Earnhardt Jr. made his racing debut in 1999 in the NASCAR Cup Series under his father’s team, Dale Earnhardt, Inc.

Despite coming from a famous family, he held his own on the race track.

For 15 consecutive seasons, Earnhardt Jr. reigned as the Most Popular Driver and won back-to-back Xfinity Series titles and 13 races in his two full seasons.

In 2006, he founded his company, JR Motorsports, which has won four Xfinity Series Championships, with the latest one coming in 2024 with driver Justin Allgaier.

Though Dale Earnhardt Jr. has several roles to fulfill as a team owner and commentator, the one role he doesn’t like missing out on is the role of a dad.

With his wife Amy, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has raised two kids who have been pictured at various events with them.

In a 2022 interview with Live Kelly and Mark, Dale Earnhardt Jr. opened up about his relationship with his two precious girls- Isla and Nicole.

The former NASCAR driver said it’s his role to drop off his kids at school. Earnhardt Jr. said:

I am the worrier of the two between me and Amy. I am rushing out the doorway earlier than we need to go. She is more relax of the whole ordeal.

In that very interview, Dale added he wants to help his daughters understand that school is a great thing and something you want to be excited about.

Like many parents with little kids, Dale has also gone through the same experience of seeing his children weep during the first couple of days of school and adjusting later on.

During the interview, Mark questioned Dale about what car he drives his girls to school, and Dale replied that he has a Chevy Truck.

Mark then asked what music they listen to as they head to school.

After thinking about it for a second, Dale said he and the girls enjoy listening to Juice Newton.

The American pop and country singer, Newton has several hits in her bag, including Angel of the Morning, Love’s Been a Little Bit Hard on Me, and Break It to Me Gently.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s elder daughter, Isla Rose Earnhardt, was born on April 30, 2018, and in October 2020, he and Amy welcomed their second daughter, Nicole Lorraine Earnhardt.

In his podcast, Dale Jr. Download, Earnhardt Jr. explained the specialty of his second daughter’s name.

The couple used Amy’s middle name (Nicole) and Dale Jr.’s mother’s name (Lorraine).

The NASCAR driver further gushed about his daughter.

He said, “Nicole…I look at her and I see so much of myself. It’s like looking at a mirror when I look at her.

Dale and Amy tied the knot on December 31, 2016, at Childress Vineyards in Lexington, North Carolina.

Before tying the knot with Dale, Amy had exchanged vows with her college sweetheart, Tommy Cook.

Tommy and Amy wed in 2008 before divorcing months later. On the other hand, Earnhardt Jr. had never tied the knot until Amy.

Dale met Amy through her profession as an interior designer. He had hired Amy and her firm to design the interior of his home in Kannapolis.

The two went public with their relationship in 2011 when they attended the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champions Week Award Ceremony.

In 2015, the racer proposed to his longtime girlfriend during their vacation in Germany.

Since their wedding in 2016, the couple has started working as business partners.

They established Hard Rock Vodka in 2022 in a partnership with Sugarlands Distilling Co, whom Dale met during his racing days.

The two promote their vodka brand constantly on their Instagram handles.

Recently, they shot an Instagram video showing their followers how to make- The Ginger Pear Martini.

Alongside promoting their business deals, the couple also loves sharing family photos.

On Thanksgiving, Amy shared a beautiful family picture of her, Dale, and their daughters.

The two girls are often spotted attending their father’s racing event and rooting for him.

Previously, in an interview with Today, Dale revealed that his elder daughter, Isla, gets upset whenever he loses a race. The father of two said:

We had a little elecrtical issue that created a fire inside the car and the floorboard of the car. I was hoping it might go out, but it started to get a little painful. Isla was sad that we didn’t win the race.
