Kadarius Toney, born January 27, 1999, is an American professional football wide receiver whose journey in the NFL has been defined by moments of brilliance and major struggles.

Toney’s early life in Mobile, Alabama, set the stage for his sports ambitions. Growing up in a supportive home, he was encouraged to pursue athletics from an early age. His mother was helpful in his growth and supported his love of athletics.

He attended Blount High School in Eight Mile, Alabama, where he showed his ability as a dual-threat quarterback during the last two years of high school.

As a senior, he continued to dominate, throwing for 2,984 yards, rushing for 894 yards, and scoring 47 touchdowns (32 passing and 15 rushing).

Toney was named Alabama 6A Back of the Year, made the 2016 AL.com Super All-State Team, and was named Offensive MVP of the 2016 AL.com All-Coastal Alabama team.

He finished high school with a commendable 20–5 record as a starter.

Toney was recognized as a three-star recruit with scholarship offers from multiple universities, eventually choosing the University of Florida.

Although Toney was a reserve player during his freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons, his senior year in 2020 was a breakout year.

He led Florida’s offense with 70 receptions for 984 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Additionally, he contributed as a runner (19 carries, 161 yards, one touchdown) and returner (seven kick returns, 155 yards, 11 punt returns, 139 yards, one touchdown).

His outstanding performance led to being voted second-team All-America as an all-purpose player by the Associated Press and first-team all-conference by the SEC league coaches.

Toney was also a finalist for the 2020 Paul Hornung Award, given to the most versatile player in college football.

Kadarius Toney’s Net Worth Is Currently Estimated To be Around $2 Million

Kadarius Toney’s professional career began when the New York Giants selected him in the first round with the 20th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

He signed a four-year contract worth $13.7 million. His rookie season showed promise, with 39 receptions for 420 yards in 10 games.

However, a hamstring injury in 2022 limited his playing time, and he was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs mid-season.

Toney contributed to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVII victory with a memorable 65-yard punt return and a touchdown catch.

Despite this Super Bowl success, consistency issues plagued him in the 2023 season, and the Chiefs released him on August 27, 2024.

Shortly after, Toney signed with the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad but was later waived.

Recent news has highlighted some legal issues surrounding Toney, further complicating his career path.
