Thomas Morstead is an American football punter born on March 8, 1986. He currently plays for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL).
The Houston, Texas native is the son of John and Isobel Morstead of Pearland. He grew up in the Pearland suburbs with his brother Patrick.
Similarly, Morstead attended Pearland High School and is a Southern Methodist University (SMU) standout.
In 2006, he earned All-Conference USA third-team honors while also ranking 15th in the nation in punting.
Morstead began his NFL journey in 2009 after the New Orleans Saints drafted him in the fifth round.
A former Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins player, Morstead is Super Bowl XLIV Champion with the Saints.

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Thomas and Lauren met for the first time when they were 12 and 10 on a family ski trip to Utah, which was arranged by mutual friends.
Although they stayed apart for years after that, they started dating in their high school days. Later on, Morstead pursued his punting career at SMU in Dallas while Lauren was studying to be a nurse in Texas.
However, the couple was rooted in New Orleans after the Saints selected Morstead in the 2009 NFL Draft.
As Morstead decided to take the next big step in their relationship, he proposed to Lauren at one of their favorite restaurants, Irene’s Cuisine, in the French Quarter.
The player then married his longtime girlfriend at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houston on July 13, 2013.
The service was attended by several of Morstead’s current and former teammates. Moreover, the reception was held at Hotel ZaZa in Dallas.

On April 15, 2014, they welcomed their first child, a son named Maxwell Thomas Morstead.

Maxwell developed an early interest in track and field. In April, he finished second place in the standing long jump at the Jefferson Parish Track and Field Championships.
Beckett, their second son, was born in 2015. Their third child, Maggie, followed two years after the second one.
Similarly, the couple’s fourth child, Rosalie Grace, was born on February 15, 2019. She was named in honor of Thomas’ grandmother.
