The football player-turned-coach Sean Payton grew up with three siblings; two sisters and one elder brother.

Sean Patrick Payton currently serves as the head coach of the Denver Broncos in the National Football League (NFL).

He previously served as the head coach at New Orleans Saints from 2006 to 2011 and from 2013 to 2021.

The California-born coach led the Saints to their first Super Bowl title, winning the Super Bowl XLIV.

Before guiding players to victories as a coach, Sean was a football player himself.

Sean featured as a quarterback for Naperville Central High School. He then played collegiate football for Eastern Illinois University.

He only got a chance to play for three games for the Chicago Bears in the NFL as a player before being sold to Ottawa Rough Riders.

Furthermore, Sean also played for Leicester Panthers in 1988 before returning to the US to take a coaching position.

Sean Payton is the third of four children born to Jeanne Payton and Thomas Payton.

He has two sisters, Patrice Payton and Molly Payton, and one elder brother, Tom Payton.

He graduated with Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from Widener University.

Tom then worked as a director of telemarketing at American Financial Mortgage Corporation for two years.

After that, he switched companies and worked for four years for Delaware Savings Bank as a telemarketing director.

In 2000, he joined the Progressive Business Publication as a regional manager and left the company in 2004.

He then worked as a store manager at Mattress Firm for sixteen years, from 2005 to 2021.

As per his Twitter bio, he is also a magician and resides in Covington, Louisiana.

Sean Payton was born on December 29, 1963, in San Mateo, California, United States.

His parents were originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, before moving to California. They relocated to Naperville, Illinois, when Payton was in seventh grade.

His mother, Jeanne (born: September 5, 1928), attended Marywood College and was involved in many volunteer organizations.

Unfortunately, she died at the age of 74 on October 18, 2002

According to the sources, his father, Thomas, previously worked in the insurance industry.

Regarding Sean’s personal life, he was previously married to ex-wife Beth Shuey in 1992.

The former couple shares two children, a daughter named Meghan (born: March 21, 1997) and a son named Connor (born: May 31, 2000).

They filed for divorce in June 2012, which was finalized two years later in 2014.

The football player-turned-coach is married to Skylene Montgomery, the 2008 Miss West Virginia.

The pair engaged on November 8, 2019, before finally tying the knot on June 18, 2021.
