Trae Young historic night ties the series for the Hawks

The battle between the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers continued on Monday.

After losing back-to-back games, the Hawks emerged victorious over the 76ers in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series.

The Hawks defeated the 76ers 103-100 to tie the series 2-2 behind Trae Young’s historic night.

 He became the youngest player ever to record 18 assists in a playoff game.

Trae led the Hawks followed by Bogdan Bogdanovic. In addition, all five of the Hawks starters scored in double figures.

On the other hand, Tobias Harris led the 76ers while all other five starters scored in double figures.

All the 76ers players scored in the game against the Hawks.

The 76ers started strong, taking lead over the Hawks in the first half but the Hawks bounced back in the second half and took the win in the end.

The first quarter ended with the 76ers taking the lead over the Hawks.

Clint Capela started the quarter with a layup on Youngs’ pass. Ben Simmons dunked Harris’s miss and tied the game.

Bogdan Bogdanovic then quickly dropped a three-pointer on the other end for the lead.

Capela added another bucket on Young’s pass and took a five-point lead.

Ben Simmons came up with a steal on John Collins’s pass to Young and dropped a loud dunk in transition.

They were 8-10 with 7:16 remaining in the game as Kevin Huerter dropped a jumper.

Tobias Harris came up with a jumper and the 76ers took the lead on the next possession.

Seth Curry knocked down a three-pointer and Matisse Thybulle dropped a dunk on the next possession.

All leading to a 9-0 run for the 76ers and 7 point lead with 2:37 remaining in the first quarter.

Bogdanovic came up with a turnaround jumper.

They were 22-14 as Curry drove to the rim and dropped a layup with 1:36 remaining.

Onyeka Okongwu blocked Thybulle at the rim and the quarter ended 28-20 with the 76ers taking an eight-point lead.

The 76ers continued to take the lead in the second quarter.

Shake Milton set up Dwight Howard for a dunk to start the second quarter.

Trae Young came up with a floater with 9:20 remaining in the quarter.

Joel Embiid knocked down a three-pointer on Curry’s pass with 7:08 remaining.

Simmons drew a foul, knocking down a layup.

They were 38-32 as Trae Young dropped a three-pointer halfway into the quarter, cutting the lead to three-point.

Embiid dropped a jumper and Young knocked down another three-pointer.

Harris came up with a three-pointer and Embiid knocked down a jumper.

Maxey knocked down a three-pointer on Curry’s pass.

Capela dropped a dunk on Young’s pass on the other end.

They were 57-40 with 2:13 remaining in the second quarter.

Curry Knocked down a three-pointer Thybulle’s pass and the 76ers took 18 point lead.

Bogdanovic dropped a layup and Curry knocked down a mid-range jumper under a minute left in the quarter.

Kevin Huerter connected from behind the three-point line for a three with 7.6 left in the quarter.

The quarter ended 62-49 with the 76ers still in the lead by 13 points.

The Hawks start to bounce back in the third quarter.

Bogdanovic knocked down a three-pointer and Harris answered back with a mid-range jumper.

Capela dropped a layup on Young’s pass and Curry answered back with a long two-pointer.

They were 66-56 as Collins drove to the rim and knocked down a dunk with 7:38 remaining in the quarter.

Huerter knocked down a three-pointer and Harris dropped a fadeaway jumper over Huerter.

Collins got the offensive rebound and dropped a dunk.

The Hawks still chased the 76ers 73-65 with under five minutes left to play as Furkan Korkmaz knocked down a three-pointer.

Collins quickly dropped a dunk on Bogdanovic’s missed three-pointer.

Okongwu came up with a dunk on Young’s pass.

Thybulled quickly added a three-pointer and extend the lead again.

Young answered right back with a three-pointer and the quarter ended 80-82 with the 76ers taking only a two-point lead.

The Hawks took the win in the fourth quarter.

Bogdanovic started the quarter with a three-pointer and Howard dropped a dunk on the other end.

Milton subsequently knocked down a three-pointer and the 76ers took a four-point lead.

Collins blocked Harris right at the rim and Young dropped a floater on the other end.

Joel Embiid blocked Bogdanovic at the rim.

They were all tied up at 92-92 as Capela dropped a dunk with 5:15 remaining in the game to take the lead for the Hawks.

But the 76ers took the lead right back and Korkmaz knocked down a three-pointer, extending the lead.

Collins dropped a three-pointer on the other end.

They were neck to neck as Young dropped a floater with 1:17 remaining in the game.

Embiid missed a layup to take the lead with 7.8 remaining. Young drew foul and knocked down both the free throws.

Curry missed a three-pointer to tie the game as a result Atlanta wins Game 4 and tied the series.

Trae Young’s historic night.

Atlanta Hawks tied the series 2-2 behind Trae Young’s brilliant performance that created history tonight.

He dropped 25 points and 18 assists and also grabbed 4 rebounds.

With this performance, he becomes the NBA Fantasy Player of the Night.

“I just read what the defense is giving me,” said Trae Young on making the right play.

And with 18 assists made, he now becomes the youngest player ever to record 18 assists in a Playoff game.

In addition, he is the first Atlanta Hawks player with 15 plus points and 15 plus assists in a playoff game since Doc Rivers put up 16 points and 18 assists in May of 1988. 

Trae Young is also the first player to record at least 25 points and 18 assists in a playoff game since Tim Hardaway in May of 1991.

Besides Young, Bogdan Bogdanovic dropped 20 plus points, scoring 22 points and grabbing five rebounds.

While all the other starters scored in double figures.

John Collins dropped 14 points and 12 rebounds double-double while Clint Capela managed to get 12 points and 13 rebounds double-double.

Kevin Huerter dropped 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Tobias Harris outscored Joel Embiid.

On the other hand, Tobias Harris led the 76ers, scoring 20 points along with 5 rebounds, and 2 assists.

He is the only 76ers player to score 20 points in this game.

While all the other starters scored in double figures and all the bench players scored points.

Joel Embiid scored a double-double, dropping 17 points and grabbing 21 rebounds along with 4 assists.

Similarly, Seth Curry scored 17 points with 2 rebounds and 3 assists.

Ben Simmons dropped another double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds along with 9 assists.

While Furkan Korkmaz dropped 10 points, 2 rebounds, and an assist.

Now both the teams meet on Wednesday for Game 5.
